Every counselor is unique in his/her approach to helping hurting people because of life’s experiences, relationship with God, education, and ability to be compassionate toward others.
The Bible-based counseling that I do is helping the hurting person to look at their life through the truth of God’s Word. God has uniquely equipped me through 62 years in the Holy Ghost, 50 years studying and teaching the Word of God, 47 years of marriage, raising two children to love and serve God (now, MieMie of 3), the formal counseling education and 25 years experience of counseling as a Certified Pastoral Counselor and Certified Christian Life Coach. I provided pastoral counseling for Bishop Kenneth Haney at Christian Life Center the last 10 years he was the pastor. I also taught 6 years at Christian Life College, Stockton, CA under Dr. Daniel Segraves (25 years total of counseling).
I receive calls nationwide asking for Holy Ghost counseling. People who have a relationship with God want help based on the Word of God. I counsel for pastors, lay people and co-counsel with pastors through Skype. The church needs healing helpers to be educated through God’s Word on how to bring hope and healing to hurting hearts. We need to know how to put on the whole armor of God – especially the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. God is the healer of our brokenness but there is more to it than just saying, “Honey, give it to God in prayer!” The Word of God transforms the way we think – we must learn how to use it for spiritual, emotional and relational healing and growth.
Romans 12:2 – ‘be transformed by renewing your mind.’
Each hurting person must refuse to allow the past painful life to define who he/she is today in Christ Jesus. God wants to heal the broken in heart and bind up the wounded – this is done by rightly applying God’s truth to the hurting heart – then we can be transformed by renewing the mind – replacing toxic thinking with God’s truth – rewiring the brain for physical health, spiritual and emotional growth and healing to the heart, mind, and soul.

Teaching God’s Word is my heartbeat for churches and conferences for spiritual, emotional and relational growth. I teach marriage seminars from which I wrote the book: God’s Design for Marriage. Many saved but hurting people do not know how to live out the greatest commandment. We must love God, love self, and love others. A wounded heart has a difficult time in receiving God’s love and sharing that love with others.
I also teach through Skype for churches across the nation and other countries also. I pray that pastors will see the need for training their leaders to become ‘healing helpers.’ When a church becomes equipped to offer hope and healing along with salvation, it will draw the hurting to God.
