How long has it been since you have heard a message on “Jesus is coming!?”
As I counsel nationwide, I find many people are caught up in their sinful lifestyles (sexual sins including porn addiction) while attending church on a regular basis. Since God does not bring instant judgment to sinful actions, there is a feeling it’s OK to sin. This is not God’s truth!
We are living in the last days of the last days. Jesus could come back for His Bride at any moment. He is coming for a Bride without spot or wrinkle or any such thing – Ephesians 5. God expects us to be holy and He is holy. People who are caught up in sinful sexual relationships or addicted to porn which in God’s sight is the same as committing adultery (Matthew 5) have a sinful heart.
1 Corinthians 6:18 – “Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”
Adultery (Gk – porneia) – Sexual activity or intercourse outside the marriage union. The word ‘pornography’ comes from the root ‘porneia’ and thus sexual immorality comprehensively may include taking pleasure in pornographic pictures films or writings – (Ex. 20:14, Mat. 5:31-32, 19:9, 1 Cor. 5:l). What is done in secret will be revealed openly – Luke 7:18. It is impossible to be caught up in sexual sins and “glorify God in our body and spirit which belong to God” – 1 Cor. 6:18-20. Jesus is coming! When we are willing to surrender our heart, soul, mind, and strength (body) to God, we can overcome and walk in holy victory with God!
Hope and transformation are through obeying God’s Word – Romans 12: 1&2 – “be transformed by renewing the mind” with God’s truth. For 27 years, I have counseled hundreds of people addicted to porn. It is a ‘self-induced chemical addiction.’ When one stops surrendering to the lust of the flesh, God rewires the brain for healthiness and cleanses the soul, heart, and mind! Our hearts must be clean to meet Jesus! “Come quickly, Lord Jesus!”
