If we celebrate Christ and life, why do we celebrate death and witchcraft?

Pastor Dieter Skowron was our pastor when we lived in Colorado. His words below that he posted on his Facebook page needs to be read by all believers.

Pastor Dieter Skowron – my former pastor in Colorado!

Hey everyone! Especially Christians!
Isaiah 8:19
And when they shall say unto you, seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep and mutter: should not a people seek unto their God ?’

I just wanted to make this post to inform you guys of different things I see in the media and local cultures that I want you to beware of. If you partake in any of these modern day practices, you can open up the door for demonic activity in your life and we don’t need that!

Just to give you a general idea, partaking in activities such as: “checking your horoscope”, playing with magic, Tarot cards, Ouija boards, going to a “fortune teller”, wearing clothes and symbols sacrificed to idols, bringing unclean objects into your home and so much more, can open the door for demonic activity.

Personally, I’ve seen a rise of occult symbolism invade the families of people we love. These are not games to play with, it is evil to be avoided. I’ve dealt with folks that became possessed to the point their faces became puddy and I watched their physical face become disfigured by the evil spirit realm.

Folks watch out for astrologers who write you a chart; or Tarot card readers. They are servants of the Devil, Satan the prince of darkness is their king. They are anti-Christ. Opposed to Christ. So beware of the occult, don’t seek the dead but seek the one and only wise God Jesus Christ!
He’ll forgive your sins through his own blood, so repent
Jesus is the way of salvation. Anything else is idolatry Satan is the lord of misrule; paranoia and death are in his path. And the person who practices the occult
I call nothing more than a fool.
2nd these are some questions I’d love to ask folks who celebrate Holloween

God is a God of life, but Halloween focuses on death. Should we celebrate a holiday where people decorate their front yards with tombstones?
The Scriptures tell us to put away deeds of darkness (Rom.13:12) and that light has nothing in common with darkness (2 Cor. 6:14). Is celebrating a dark holiday something a child of the light should be doing?
My friends, I have been delivered from fear and panic attacks and I know that fear comes from the enemy. Should I participate in a holiday that has fear as its very foundation?
Witchcraft is clearly detestable to the Lord (Deut 18:10-13). Shouldn’t something that glorifies witchcraft (don’t believe me? just take a walk through the Halloween store) shouldn’t it be detestable to me as well?”
Ok, this drives me CRAZY Halloween is a sacred, high holiday for Wiccans (the official religion of witchcraft). Is this a holiday Christians should celebrate alongside Wiccans?
Is it cute when we dress our kids like the devil (or witches, ghouls, scary characters, etc.)? Come on, Isn’t it, well, demonic?
The Lord said in 2 Cor. 6:17, “Come out from them and be separate … Touch no unclean thing …” Doesn’t God want His children to be set apart from the world and from sin and evil? Aren’t we supposed to be peculiar people?
My extended family thinks it’s ridiculous that we not allow our kids to dress up for Halloween. Should their opinions matter to me more than God’s? Shouldn’t pleasing God be my utmost concern?
If there is even a question in my heart and mind that it might be wrong, shouldn’t that be my first clue? Why would I continue to do so with even a lingering thought that it is wrong?
Does Halloween bring glory to God? Nope! It glorifies the devil! Nuff said.
