Celebrating seventy years – to God be the glory!

On February 25th, I will be celebrating living for 70 years! Since I’m the youngest of my immediate family this almost seems impossible. I feel like I’m 50 years young. I thank God foremost for salvation – to know Him in the power of the Holy Ghost. I thank God for my family. I thank God for my good health. I thank God for the ministry of teaching, counseling and writing from His Word to help others grow and heal spiritually, emotionally and relationally with God and others. My heartbeat is this ministry. Lord willing, I will be active in it until Jesus comes.

Since both of my parents and my brother are with the Lord, family becomes more precious every day. My birth family of five is now down to two. I’m thankful my sister is still with me in the land of the living.

I’m in my 46th year of marriage to a man who has always put God first in His life. He is in his 79th year of life. He (ordained minister, Harold E. Clemans) is a graduate of Conqueror’s Bible College. We’ve been involved in ministry our whole lives. I was a PK kid. I started teaching Sunday school at age 14 and learning to play the organ for church at the same time. Together we have shared ministry in almost every capacity including pastoring. For the past 24 years, I’ve had a counseling ministry as a Certified Pastoral Counselor to partner with my Bible teaching for 50 years. I received the Holy Ghost in 1955. My detailed bio is on my website: www.carolclemans.org.

God has brought us through adversities financially, physically and emotionally in the grief of losing family members and close friends who have gone to their eternal home with God. Through all of these things, we never lost our faith in God and our trust and confidence that He is in control. Yes, many tears have been shed and deep heartaches, but Jesus said, “Be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.” To overcome, He had to go through the death of the cross. Through the power of His resurrection, we have the great hope of His soon return and eternal life ruling and reigning over the new heaven and new earth with Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

We are not sitting ‘in a bed of roses now’, but we have our feet planted firmly in our faith in God. A person will never know how to completely trust God until being in a place that you have no answers about life and are depending totally on Him for every detail of your future. My heart is rejoicing in the expectancy of His provision and guidance for each day of our future.

Psalm 90:10 (NKJV)

“The days of our lives are seventy years;
 And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,
 Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow;
 For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” My father lived into his 85th year and my mother lived into her 93rd year.

I like to sing, “I’ll fly away, O glory, I’ll fly away. When Jesus comes, Hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away.” Come quickly, Lord Jesus! I’m not looking for death or the anti-Christ. I’m looking for Jesus Christ to come in the clouds for His Bride!

Starting February 26th, God will add each new day to my life by reason of His strength. Every day I thank God for my good health. I thank Him for the answers to my prayers in detail. I refuse to pray the problems. I pray and thank Him for the answers to the needs and problems.

Our children and grandchildren are great blessings in our lives. John said there is no greater joy than to know our children walk in truth. We pray for our children and their children daily. Our prayer is for God to protect, guide, provide and surround them all with His wisdom. Even if we would live to be 100, that is nothing compared to eternity that has no end. I pray daily that my life will reflect God’s glory to my family. Putting God first in all we do is the only way to live this life in the expectancy of eternal life with God.

I’m excited about the continual ministry opportunity of providing nationwide confidential God-based counseling for pastors and lay people by phone/Skype (636) 448-0121. I love to share God’s anointed Word through teaching for churches and conferences. Lord willing, I will be posting more short teachings through Periscope and you tube sharing God’s truth. We can be transformed by renewing our mind through His Word.

No matter the circumstances of life, I can sing, “The Lord is blessing me right now, right now. The Lord is blessing me right now, right now. He woke me up this morning and started me on my way. The Lord is blessing me right now, right now!”
