A FAMILY NEEDS A GODLY FATHER WHO IS A SHEPHERD LEADER AS CHRIST!
Recent stats say that children from an intact family (father, mother and children – with the father being an active part of his children’s lives – a loving leader) will have a 90% success rate of never getting involved with drugs, drinking or other major problems.
If you are a father who is first generation raising your children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, your example is found in the Word of God as you study Christ’s character through the Holy Ghost.
Study Galatians the 5th chapter – the works of the flesh vs. the Fruit of the Spirit. Study Ephesians 4th & 5th chapters. Study I Corinthians the 13th chapter. When you apply the truths of God’s Word and allow the Holy Ghost to control you, you will be that leader who is a servant/shepherd.
Your wife and children will willingly follow you as you follow Christ. God says that we love Him because He first loved us. When you treat your family as you would treat God, they will respond in love.
Our children learn to be godly by following our example as parents and grandparents. We all will answer to God for the parenting that we give to our children.
