America is the most wonderful country in the world. We have freedoms that many countries do not have. One is the freedom to express our opinions through speech.
Recently when the President of Chick-fil-A was asked a question regarding his beliefs on marriage he replied with a Biblical truth. It was his personal belief. The liberals have personal beliefs that they want the whole world to hear. Yet, they do not want the conservatives to have a voice.
Why should the freedom of speech be the privilege for the liberal but off limits to the conservative? My opinion is the liberals know deep in their souls that Bible truths are infallible. Infallible is defined as “incapable of making mistakes or being wrong – never failing – always effective.” We who believe in the true God of the Bible have strong beliefs about morals. God says lying, murder and sexual sins are all in the same category. Revelations 21:8 NKJ reads, “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”The Bible tells us that in the last days people will do what is ‘right in their own eyes.’ Just because someone does what they desire to satisfy their flesh does not make it morally correct in the eyes of God. God is absolute truth. God is infallible.
I can understand why the liberals get angry with conservatives. It’s no surprise because Jesus was rejected and killed because he was God in the flesh and spoke moral truths. Thank God, Jesus rose from the dead! We believers have that same hope of a resurrection to eternal life when we follow the teachings of God.
Why should the freedom of speech be the privilege for the liberal but off limits to the conservative?
Mike Huckabee encouraged the nation to support Chick-fil-A’s across America on August 1st. Thousands of people showed up to Chick-fil-A’s but the news media nationwide was very quiet about this. Pictures from across the country were flooding the Internet. My facebook home page was flooded with pictures that friends took of their experience with traffic backing up onto freeways and waiting in lines for 2 – 3 hours. All this support was not just because of beliefs in Biblical truths. Some came to support the right to the freedom of speech even when they did not agree with the view on marriage that the President of Chick-fil-A stated.
The liberals want to shove their ungodly issues ‘down the neck’ of the whole world. We conservatives must never refuse to speak God’s truth through any venue that is presented to us. I thank God for the Greeley Gazette allowing me to write from a conservative view. There is a God and He will have the last Word!
