Jesus is Coming – Look Up!

It saddens my heart when some discount the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds to call His Bride to heaven. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 (NKJV) 14 “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”

This is the return of the Lord in the air to save His Bride from the wrath that is to come that is the 7 years of the Great Tribulation. 1 Thess. 1:10:

New International Version

“and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead–Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

New Living Translation

And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven–Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.

English Standard Version

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

New American Standard Bible

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

King James Bible

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Holman Christian Standard Bible

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead–Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.”

Below is another scripture that gives us absolute truth that Jesus died on a cross to deliver His Bride from the Great Tribulation:

The Faithful Church – Revelations 3 –

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,

‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. 13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

In verse 10 & 11, John wrote what was told him, 10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.” This is another witness that God has promised He will save His Bride from ‘the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.’

1 Thess. 5:9 – is another scripture written to the church and tells us we are not appointed to ‘suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

New International Version

“For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

New Living Translation

For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us.

English Standard Version

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

New American Standard Bible

For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

King James Bible

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”

Here is more proof – Romans 5:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”

I’m so thankful for God’s ultimate plan of salvation (Acts 2:38). It not only takes away our sins, but it gives us the great hope of Jesus returning in the air (just as He ascended) to be changed from a mortal to immortality in the moment in the twinkling of an eye! In the mouth of two or thee witnesses (scriptures) let everything be established.

We, His Bride, will be with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven during the 7-year Great Tribulation. In heaven there will be the Judgment Seat of Christ for the Church and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! Jesus comes in the clouds for His Bride; He does not come to earth until the end of the 7-year tribulation with His Saints on white horses that is called the Second Coming.

This is the promise of Jesus returning to the earth for His Bride – this is not the Second Coming – that happens when Jesus descends from heaven on a white horse and His Church/Bride/Saints will be with Him on white horses to conquer the devil for 1,000 years!

Acts 1: 11

New International Version

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

New Living Translation

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”

English Standard Version

and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

New American Standard Bible

They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

King James Bible

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

This is the hope of the Church – I Corinthians 15: 51 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

The Second Coming – Jesus and His Bride will come back to earth on White Horses at the end of the 7-year tribulation.

Revelations 19: 11 – 16: Christ on a White Horse

11 “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND
 LORD OF LORDS.”

I’m not looking for the anti-Christ; I’m looking for the LORD JESUS CHRIST to appear in the air with a voice of a trumpet for His Bride. Don’t worry about what is happening in the world right now. There is no prophecy unfulfilled before the soon return of Jesus for His Bride! John ended his message in Revelation 22: 20-21 – “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am Coming Quickly.” Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

Do not live in fear of the evil in the world today. Look unto Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of your faith. Yes, today believers in God are being killed for their faith in other countries and a few in this county, but this is not the Great Tribulation. No one will die before his/her time known only by God. Our hearts must be clean to meet Jesus. Let’s continue to be holy as He is holy and have pure hearts before Him. Look up for His return for His Bride could be today!!!

NOTE: My father, the late Elder Raymond G. Theobald, received the Holy Ghost in 1925. He sat at the feet of Bishop GT Haywood as a young man. He became a great theologian and Eschatology preacher/teacher. I grew up on the teachings of the truth from Revelations and Jesus Christ returning for His Bride before the great tribulation. He taught Eschatology for six years at Christian Life College under Bishop Kenneth Haney and Dr. Daniel Segraves in Stockton, CA. I thank God my father taught me how to ‘rightly divide the Word of Truth.’
